If you’ve been reading along for a while, you know my heart skips a beat for travel of any kind. I’ve shared some weekenders and quick snaps from our most recent trip abroad, but I haven’t been sharing my wanderlust on a regular basis. And you know how some people constantly house hunt? Well, I vacation hunt if you will. So I’ll periodically be taking you inside the hotels and homes where we’ve been lucky enough to stay.
I’m starting with a little cottage that’s near and dear to my heart, a whitewashed house nestled in the hills of the Camps Bay area of Cape Town, South Africa. Three years ago this month, we rented Park Cottage and lived there for a week before attending a good friend’s wedding and setting off for another week on safari. It was a magical stay, complete with a mountain view from the kitchen and a view of the Atlantic Ocean from the front terrace. I love looking back on these photographs I took around the house. Fancy a stay? You can rent Park Cottage (renamed Gardenia) through Icon Villas here.
