A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of staying at the newly remodeled W Chicago Lakeshore during a quick trip for meetings with The Everygirl editorial team. I snapped a few photos during my visit, so I thought it would be fun to show you a peek inside in case you’re ever in Chicago and looking for somewhere to stay.
From the outside this downtown Chicago hotel is totally unassuming, but wow, when you walk inside! It’s definitely a W with a sleek, sexy vibe thanks to their recent redesign. The lobby has a hip, urban feel and was continuously filled with guests socializing in and around the hotel’s new restaurant, CURRENT–which we ate at one night so I can definitely vouch for the food being delicious. Our floor had stunning views over Lake Michigan and Chicago’s landmark Navy Pier, but really my favorite part was the room I shared with my friend and fellow editor Juley. While I typically swoon over hotel rooms that are light and airy, it’s really hard not to like a space decked out in classic black and white for a modern edge. From our city view windows, light bounced off the crisp white sheets and emphasized the high-contrast décor, while a glass ball chandelier and chartreuse chair added just-right touches of interest. Bath products—always important, yes?—were all Bliss and there was also a full Bliss Spa in the hotel. A great place to consider for overnights in the Windy City.
