When it comes to fashion trends, I usually tread lightly. For the most part I’ll invest in timeless shapes and fabrics that I know I’ll be comfortable in. But I also think it’s important to leave a little wiggle room for an unexpected twist, like a playful pop of color, or for trying something new, like edgy black leather. Because getting dressed should also be fun! I’ve been dying to try the skater skirt as well as some leather, which are both very “in” right now, and this faux-leather skirt merges both at a price that makes experimenting a no-brainer. To balance out the toughness of all the black leather, I added some cozy, everyday stripes on top so it still falls within my style lines. Just fun to mix things up!
